New Paper Shop























PAPER Arts is a new creative space in Broadmead. On the ground floor there's a space for people to test business ideas, run a shop or an event. The team are interested in finding out what people would like to use the space for. There is a rental charge of £125 per week as a one-off fee. The Side Chapel at St Thomas the Martyr is offering space to people interested in setting up a pop-up shop. This is unique historic venue on St Thomas Street in Bristol, with space available on a profit sharing basis. The Elephant House is a new space in Bedminster available on a short-term basis for a variety of activities. The team want the space to have a community feel and be used predominantly for local businesses, charity events, classes and workshops.

Period of Grace

Mi Casa are running "cantina" at The Big Chill Bristol from the 1st of March. Kristjan and Alexis will begin a three month residency taking over the daily kitchen operation at the Big Chill Bar.

Pig & Swig & Pop





Pig and Swig is a new pop-up dinner club focused on everything west country serving up at unique locations throughout Bristol. The launch date is set for 27th October so keep an eye out for more news...

Pig & Swig is the brainchild of Bristolian chef Kelly Sealey, who is currently the head tutor of The Cookery School at Bordeaux Quay.

Temporary Urban Farm

















Seedlings are set to pop-up at a temporary urban farm on the Diesel Depot site in the Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone. Run by the Severn Project, the farm will produce 'carbon free' salad leaves as well as for aiming to create provides employment and training support for people recovering from drug and alcohol abuse. Expect to see poly-tunnels and soil laid on the site over the coming months. For more see here.

Paper Studios

















Paper Studios is a new pop-up shop in the Galleries, aiming to support local artist and designers through a new publication - PAPER - and push collaboration between the creative industries. Paper Studios has low-cost studio space above the shop for artist/designers to rent, who can  exhibit and sell their work or service in the gallery downstairs.

Spike Island Pop!

















From 5 July until 15 August, Spike Island are presenting a series of one night pop-up exhibitions in a new temporary gallery. Each evening takes an "experimental, collaborative approach" to the temporary space going beyond the artists' studios. There's a bar at each event. For more see here.
